Concrete Love: a Giveaway
Tuesday, March 6th, 2012
NOTE FROM THE EDITOR: Oh boy… how I am dependent on technology! I just spent almost 12 hours worrying sick over a crash of the blog due to an impromptu server change by the company housing my servers. Let me just say that the tall blonde over here was not too happy. But than to my Fairy Geek-Mother Valérie from Studio Rose Flash, it’s all better now!
So let’s try that again… Let me introduce you to 2 lovebirds that chose to mix business & pleasure together. Thank you all for your patience and please hurry to catch up on lost time and participate in this cool giveaway.

Roses are red, violets are blue, I love concrete… and so should you!
In the course of my daily activities, I come across all sorts of fantastic artisans and creators of all things decor. It is unbelievable what a creative mind can reinvent. Take concrete for example… the last use I saw of this material was in the gigantic (and oh so derelict) Olympic Statium, heavy and cumbersome!
Well meet Tommy & Nicole of FMC Design, a Montréal based creative duo that reinvent daily necessities out of concrete. I spent a few minutes on their Etsy boutique and my list of “must buy” items is already a page long!
“FMC Design (Ferguson Mireault Concrete Design) was launched in 2011, in Montreal, QC, Canada. It is owned and operated by a young couple named Tommy & Nicole.
Tommy is a carpenter who has built concrete forms for buildings in Montreal, like the Westin Hotel and the Charles Lemoyne Hospital. Nicki has a business degree that she obtained in Vermont in 2008.
Together, they love all things green and all things concrete! Their items are handmade with sustainable materials (that are manufactured solely in Canada & the United States). They also take pride in their “grey water” recyclying system and ensure that their sealers are water-based and meet LEED requirements.”
They had me at Hello…
So in order for you to discover their great products too, we decided to offer you a great giveaway! To participate it’s easy:
1) Tell me which one of the pieces is your favourite. Adding why makes it even more fun!
